Photograph: Fb.com/ArnoldsBarIt is our time to shine, Midwesterners. Downtown eatery Arnold’s Bar and Grill is celebrating the often-neglected flyover states with a weekend-long fest dedicated to culinary basic cherished throughout the area.
The inaugural Midwest Fest will happen from 4-10 p.m. on Nov. 6 and Nov. 7 and can function a menu of delicacies whipped up by chef Kayla Robison (who hails from South Dakota), together with craft beers from all through the Midwest.
Appetizers vary from Wisconsin fried cheese curds to Cincinnati goetta Hanky Pankies and the mysterious Midwestern ramen noodle salad.
Entrees embody Minnesota’s Juicy Lucy Burger, Illinois’ Italian beef, North Dakota’s Tater Tot Scorching Dish and South Dakota’s frybread tacos.
All dishes might be served, after all, with ranch dressing.
Brews embody Three Floyd’s Zombie Mud from Muenster, Indiana; Toppling Goliath’s Pseudo Sue from Decorah, Iowa; Bell’s Brewery’s Larry’s Newest Juicy IPA from Kalamazoo, Michigan; Nice Lakes Brewing Firm’s Christmas Ale from Cleveland; and Outdated Model from Chicago.
Because of the pandemic, seating is restricted and company should put on their masks when not seated.
