We thought the kitchen hijinks would cool down when former CEO John Legere packed up “Slow Cooker Sundays” and departed T-Cell. However the Bellevue, Wash.-based wi-fi service is outwardly hoping you saved room for dessert.
In one other of its infinite, magenta-infused promotions, T-Cell was providing up a “Supercharged 5G Un-carrier Layer Cake” on Monday, promising a box of Betty Crocker cake mix to those that responded quick sufficient.
By early morning on the West Coast, the company announced it was “all out of batter.” If that appears a bit half baked, followers of the wi-fi service have been inspired to follow along on Twitter for extra probabilities to win a field.
With a bowl stuffed with baking puns stirred into to the advertising recipe, T-Cell aimed to showcase its “layer cake” strategy to 5G and low band, mid band and excessive band choices. And, as all the time, T-Cell took a swipe on the competitors, calling 5G from AT&T and Verizon “a recipe for failure.”
The cake field shipped to GeekWire got here with a crossword puzzle — written by T-Cell CEO Mike Sievert and edited by Neville Ray, president of expertise — to quiz recipients on how properly they know 5G.
